چکیده
In this work, antistatic, high-performance composites of poly (ether ether ketone) (PEEK) and concentrations 0.5–7 vol% expanded graphite (EG) were fabricated via twin-screw extrusion injection moulding at mould temperatures 200°C. The morphological, electrical, rheological, thermal, mechanical, wear properties the investigated. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) images indicate that distribution dispersion EG platelets in PEEK matrix are enhanced higher loadings. electrical conductivity with 5 exhibits a sharp rise range antistatic materials because formation conductive paths. three-dimensional network led to rapid increase storage modulus melt 2 EG-loaded composite frequency 0.1 rad/s temperature 370°C. neat containing 0.5–5 indicated cold-crystallisation peak first heating scan non-isothermal differential calorimetry (DSC) test their crystallinity degrees changed slightly. However, after removing thermal stress histories, promoted nucleation increased remarkably, indicating annealing can improve mechanical performance. standard tensile flexural stress-strain behaviour thermoplastics, exhibit elastic initially followed by weak plastic deformation before fracture. addition from 3.84 3.55 GPa 4.15 4.40 GPa, decreased strength 96.73 156.41 MPa 62 118.19 MPa, elongation break 27.09 12.9% 4 4.6%, respectively. resistance 3 was 37% compared PEEK.

Multifunctional layered magnetic composites
A fabrication method of a multifunctional hybrid material is achieved by using the insoluble organic nacre matrix of the Haliotis laevigata shell infiltrated with gelatin as a confined reaction environment. Inside this organic scaffold magnetite nanoparticles (MNPs) are synthesized. The amount of MNPs can be controlled through the synthesis protocol therefore mineral loadings starting from 15 w...
متن کاملDispersion of graphite nanoplates during melt mixing
Graphite nanoplates (GnPs) are exfoliated graphite particles in the form of thin flakes—with large surface areas and nanosized thicknesses— that tend to agglomerate because of van der Waals interactions. GnPs are commonly used to reinforce composite materials. It is expected that maximum composite performance levels should occur when GnP agglomerates are dispersed within the polymer matrix as p...
متن کاملMultifunctional Composites Based on Nanocarbons
This talk starts with a review of the different strategies to incorporate nanocarbons (CNTs, graphene) inpolymer matrices and their relative merit in terms of mechanical reinforcement, improvement inelectrical/thermal conductivity and emergence of other functional properties, such as sensingcapabilities [1] [2]. Three types of nanocomposites are discussed: the first type corresponds...
متن کاملMelt - Processable Polypeptide / Ionomer Molecular Composites
Introduction. Since Helminiak et al.' and Takayanagi2 first proposed the concept of a molecular composite, considerable remarch has been directed a t developing these materiale.3 Conceptually, molecular compitea are mixtures of a rigid rod polymer homogeneously dispersed in a flexible coil polymer matrix, thus providing fiber reinforcement at a molecular level. In practice, however, miscible bl...
